AFSIC was founded on years of research, specialised training and expertise, to ensure food safety from the farm to the table. We provide the methods and tools for food safety & quality management for our clients and ensure that the food meets foreign and domestic regulatory requirements. Based in Australia, we provide services to clients worldwide, with current and active operations in India, Fiji, Vietnam and China.

Meet the team

Atul Dhanvate

Atul is an expert in food safety & quality management systems used in Australia and internationally. He is endorsed as an Food Safety Auditor by Exemplar Global (International auditor certification body) and is a certified auditor performance and competency assessor for other professional auditors and food safety inspectors. He has studied Food Technology (India), Advanced Food Safety Management from University of Tasmania and holds a Degree in Food Nutrition from Charles Sturt University. He has post graduate Diplomas in Agriculture and in Quality Auditing, He is held in high esteem within the industry. He is a qualified trainer and assessor and runs a successful Registered Training Organisation (R.T.O)

As an approved third party regulatory auditor with the NSW Food Authority, Atul is approved to conduct audits for the Vulnerable Population (VP Scheme) and has been endorsed to audit high risk facilities (Cook Chill & CPUs). Other auditable facilities under this scheme include transport and warehousing, seafood processing, plant and product, and food manufacturing. Atul has conducted audits on small, medium and large operations. His specialty is management systems audit and Food Safety Systems audit.

For over 20 years, Atul has worked for & with the major players in the food retail, food processing, primary processing & the hospitality industry and now brings this expertise to you.

Andrew Manny

Our Team Support Officer. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) from UTS. He is completing his Masters in Health Science (Occupational Health and Safety) and holds a Holds a Cert IV in WHS. Andrew is familiar with various food safety schemes and standards including H.A.C.C.P. & Quality Management Systems for Food Safety.

Padmaja D.

Paddy has a technical background in pharmaceutical and microbiological analysis. She has a Master of Pharmacy from the University of Sydney University and currently lectures and holds a technical chair to assist graduate and post graduate students. She brings to the company her vast knowledge of the Pharma field, bio-security & academia support.

Angela Halpin

Angela is the primary contact at AFSIC, she assists in coordinating the teams and our clients whilst managing accounts from across the globe. She also provides qualified trainers and assessors to conduct food safety related trainings, in line with the national RTO principles.
